FFXIV's patch 6.5 will likely prove to be the final major content update we're getting during the Endwalker expansion. Building on top of what patch 6.4 and its predecessors brought, its release date should give us one last set of new activities to dive into before setting off on new adventures.
Square Enix has now shared concrete details about Final Fantasy 14's patch 6.5, titled Growing Light, giving us a clearer picture of both the content that's coming our way and its release date.
FFXIV Patch 6.5 Release Date

During its first dedicated live letter, it was also confirmed that patch 6.55 is slated to launch in early January 2024.
The two updates will deliver the final sets of main scenario quest that lay down the final bits of groundwork for the MMO's next expansion, Dawntrail.
Returning to Final Fantasy 14's patch 6.5 itself, a new dungeon called The Lunar Subterrane is on the way alongside a new Unreal Trial, The Singularity Reactor.
The Myths of the Realm series of Alliance Raids is set to receive its third part, called Thaleia, while the entire of the Stormblood expansion will become part of the MMO's already expansive free trial, which is great news for new players.
The latter is further complemented by the Duty Support system being extended to also cover Stormblood's The Drowned City of Skalla, The Burn, and The Ghimlyt Dark dungeons.
A slate of job updates that cover both PvP and PvE are also expected. The Crystalline Conflict's eight season will only end when patch 6.51 goes live.
FFXIV's patch 6.5 also introduces updates to Island Sanctuary in the shape of new sanctuary ranks and visions, a new gathering area in the wilds, alongside new materials, craftables, animals, and more.
More details about Final Fantasy XIV's patch 6.5 and its release date will likely be shared over the coming weeks and months.
